Japanese: | 死線 |
Appears In: | Ao no Kiseki, Sen no Kiseki series |
Origin
Shisen is Japanese for 'the verge of death' or the boundary between life and death.
Appearances
- The term appears in Ao no Kiseki's soundtrack as Steel Roar -The Verge of Death- (鋼鉄の咆哮 -死線-) which plays during the final battle of Chapter 2.
- The term is Sharon's title within Ouroboros, localized as The Severing Chains. As the name can literally be translated as 'death wire' this can be seen as a pun on her choice of weapons. Sen no Kiseki III reveals that this name is actually an abbreviation of her full title The Deathly Herald (告死線域) localized as The Severing Eclipse.
Trivia
- Sharon's full Japanese title makes the 'verge of death' meaning even more pronounced, as it literally means 'Herald of Death's Border'.
