Origin

Lucian is the English rendering of Lucianus, a Latin praenomen derived from Lucius and from there Lux ('Light'). An alternate origin is the Ancient Greek Loukianos (Λουκιανος). The name is first attributed to the Roman satirist and rhetorician of the second century CE.

Appearances

  • Art Cafe 'Lucian' is a location in the Reica Area of Heimdallr and can be visited in Sen no Kiseki III.
  • Lucian is a supporting character in Ys IX.

Trivia

  • The café may be more directly named for the twentieth century painter Lucian Freud who was famous for his portraits.
