Osgiliath Basin
Origin: Tolkien
Japanese: オスギリアス盆地
Appears In: Sen no Kiseki II-IV

Origin

Osgiliath is a city in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, abandoned and in ruins at the time of the series. It's name in Tolkien's constructed language Sindarin means 'Citadel of the Host of the Stars'.

Appearances

  • Osgiliath Basin is first mentioned in the Black Records which appear in Sen no Kiseki II. The basin appears on the map and in a flashback narration in Sen no Kiseki III and can finally be visited in IV. Like the city it's named for, Osgiliath Basin is a ruin that was the site of a major battle.
