Pendragon
Origin: | Welsh |
---|---|
Japanese: | ペンドラゴン |
Appears In: | Sora no Kiseki The 3rd, Sen no Kiseki II-III |
Origin
Taken from the Welsh title Pen Draig, literally meaning 'Chief Dragon' with the connotation of a great war leader. This is the epithet given to several Welsh heroes but most famously in medieval romances to Uther Pendragon, father of the legendary King Arthur.
Appearances
- In Sora no Kiseki The 3rd, Pendragon is a sword usable by Agate Crossner and Mueller Vander. Its description as being the surviving hilt of a massive holy sword serves as a nod to some of the earliest Welsh legends about Arthur, where heroes were sometimes described as giants themselves.
- In Sen no Kiseki II, Pendragon is a sword usable by Laura S. Arseid.
- In Sen no Kiseki III, Pendragon reappears as Laura's starting weapon.
