Origin

Angei is a play on the French word Ange ('Angel') which in Japanese is rendered アンジュ.

Appearances

  • Angei is a Larva that appears in Ys IX and is a vaguely humanoid figure with a halo and trumpet, both symbols commonly associated with angels in Christian tradition. Variants called the Gi Angei (ギ・アンジィ) and Le Angai (ル・アンジィ) also appear.
