Origin

A reference to the Pterosaurs, flying reptiles of the Mesozoic Era frequently thought of (albeit incorrectly) as 'flying dinosaurs'. The 'Ptera' in their name is taken from the ancient Greek word Pteron, meaning 'Wing'.

Appearances

  • The Scary Ptera is a monster that appears on Bryonia Island in Sen no Kiseki III and IV.

Trivia

  • A more dangerous variation called the Corrupt Ptera (コラプトプテラ) is a trial chest monster in Sen no Kiseki IV.
