Origin
A tachi is a type of Japanese sword manufactured during the Kotou ('Old Sword') period between around 900 and 1598 CE. They are distinguished from the later-developed katana by a slightly longer average blade length and a deeper curve. They also were worn cutting-edge down (unlike the katana) and can be distinguished by the maker's signature being on the opposite side of the blade.
Appearances
- Tachi appear or are referenced in various Falcom games, though the most notable appearances have been in the Kiseki Series where they are the signature weapon of Rean Schwarzer and are referred to as such in localization..
