Origin

This region on the border of Gllia is named for the real border city of Ettlingen in modern Germany. As far back as Roman times it was an important crossroads when it was a part of the province of Germania Superior.

Appearances

  • Ys IX takes place in a city on the border between Gllia and Erdlingen.

Trivia

  • Ettlingen gave its name to a series of defensive fortifications in the 18th century, while Balduq is a major defensive fortification located on the Erdlingen border.
