Gaius Worzel
Origin: | Latin/German |
---|---|
Japanese: | ガイウス・ウォーゼル |
Appears In: | Sen no Kiseki I-IV |
Origin
Gaius is one of the most common Latin masculine praenomen and is derived from a root word meaning 'To Rejoice'. The name's popularity means it was used by many famous individuals and survives to modern times, though its most famous bearer is probably Gaius Julius Caesar.
Worzel appears to be derived from the German word Wurzel, meaning 'Root', including in the sense of one's family origins.
Appearances
- Gaius Worzel is a protagonist in all four Sen no Kiseki games. Given the importance of family and tradition to him, his last name being intentionally related to Wurzel seems quite likely.
