Origin

Based on Barcelona, the city in northeast Spain. Its name dates back to the ancient Iberian name, which was adopted by later Greek and Latin sources. The city in Ys is located in the equivalent region to its real-world counterpart.

Appearances

  • Barecia is mentioned in the backstory to Ys VI as the place where Adol and Dogi meet and where Adol hears the rumor that leads him to Ediz.
