Egg of Draupnile
Origin: | Norse Mythology |
---|---|
Japanese: | ドラウプニルの卵 |
Appears In: | Ys IX |
Origin
Draupnile is very obviously derived from the mythological ring Draupnir. The Japanese rendering is absolutely identical and the twisting is an example of the Ys series taking real names and slightly modifying them.
Appearances
- The Egg of Draupnile is the divine vessel created by the ancient gods which is the ultimate source of the Grimwald Night; it serves as the final (and impossible to lose) phase of the final battle. Its title is the Divine Vessel of the Endless Night (常夜の闇を生み出し神器).
