Origin

Eisenritter is a compound word in German which means literally 'Iron Knights'.

Appearances

  • The Eisenritter were an order of knights led by Lianne Sandlot during the War of the Lions around the year S.950. They are first mentioned in Sora no Kiseki SC, as the name of the medal stolen from Erebonian ambassador Davil Crainagh. The organization is next mentioned in Ao no Kiseki and its origins are more fully explored in the Sen no Kiseki games, particularly in Legram.

Trivia

  • The underlying Japanese text literally means 'Iron Knight Regiment'. This same construction is used in Japanese to describe the English parliamentary cavalry force known as the Ironsides who were formed and led by Oliver Cromwell during the English Civil War in 1643.
