Evan Macha

Japanese: エヴァン・マハ
Appears In: Ys IX

Origin

A rendering of the Old Irish name Emain Macha (with the same pronunciation), a ceremonial site in Ireland which appears in mythology as the capital of the Ulaidh and which was supposedly founded by the goddess Macha. The meaning of the name is variously given as 'Macha's Brooch' (she used it to measure the site when it was founded) or 'Macha's Twins' (she bore two children at the site) depending on the account.

Appearances

  • The Deep Crypts of Evan Macha (地下墓所《エヴァン・マハ》) is a ruin located in the outskirts of Balduq, in Ys IX.
  • EVAN MACHA is also the name of the song that plays in the above dungeon.
