Fuurinkazan
Origin: | Japanese |
---|---|
Japanese: | 風林火山 |
Appears In: | Sen no Kiseki III |
Origin
A yojijukugo meaning 'Swift as the Wind, Quiet as the Forest, Daring as Fire, Immovable as the Mountain'. The ideogram is a reference to several passages from Sun Tzu's famous treatise on warfare. The earliest record of its use (though not in its modern form) was on the banner of the Japanese daimyou Takeda Shingen.
Appearances
- Fuurinkazan appears indirectly in Sen no Kiseki III as the titles of the four Handbook accessories each make use of one of the four component characters.
Trivia
- The name Shingen incorporates the character 玄 which is the title of the Handbook that the four component manuals are traded for.
