The Makarov, also known as the PM, is a service pistol that was developed by the Soviet Union in 1951 and which remains in use in the present day in Russia and elsewhere. The Russian name literally means 'Makarov's Pistol', being named after its developer Nikolay Fyodorovich Makarov.
Appearances
- Professor Makarov is an instructor at Thors Military Academy and appears in the first, second and fourth Sen no Kiseki games. His name being based on a military firearm fits well with his engineering talent and his serving as an instructor at a military school.
