Ariosto
Origin: Italian
Japanese: アリオスト
Appears In: Ys IX

Origin

Ludovico Ariosto was an Italian poet in the late fifteenth and early sixteenth century, most famous as the author of Orlando Furioso ('The Frenzy of Orlando').

Appearances

  • Furious Sword Ariosto (狂剣アリオスト) is Credo Aiblinger's strongest weapon in Ys IX. The name contains a double pun, as the kanji is a component of the Japanese translation of Ariosto's most famous poem (狂えるオルランド) and the word Berserker (狂戦士) which Credo is.
