Origin

A type of spider youkai in Japanese mythology that can shapeshift into the form of a beautiful young woman to ensnare prey.

Appearances

  • In Sen no Kiseki III and IV this is Ash's nickname for Musse, a beautiful young woman whose hobby is trying to ensnare her teacher Rean.

Trivia

  • The name of the youkai is taken from a real spider, a species of golden orb-weaver named Nephila clavate.
