Origin
Millium can also be translated from the katakana as Miriam, a Hebrew name of unclear derivation. Its first known appearance is in the Torah as the character in the Exodus narrative, a prophetess and older sister of Moses. There is also a Miriam among the stories collected as the Arabian Nights, who happens to be a skilled fighter and snarker who does all the heavy lifting in the story in which she appears.
Orion was a mythical Greek hunter and a constellation is named for him. The word in turn is derived from an older Akkadian word Uru-anna (𒌋𒊒𒀭𒈾) meaning 'Heaven's Light'.
Appearances
- Millium Orion is a protagonist in all four Sen no Kiseki games, as well as briefly playing an antagonist role in the first and third. She is a member of Class VII as well as one of the Ironbloods.
Trivia
- One proposed etymology for 'Miriam' is 'Mutiny' or 'Rebellion' which would be fitting for Millium as the only member of the Ironbloods to put her loyalty to Class VII ahead of her loyalty to Osborne.
