Avon is a name for multiple rivers in modern English, in regions that are part of the British Commonwealth. The name is a cognate to the Welsh word Afon and both are derived from the Old Brittonic word Abona, meaning 'River'. So yes, that means that all the rivers bearing the name mean 'River River'.
