Origin

The SMS Derfflinger was a battlecruiser serving in the German navy during World War I and was the namesake of the Derfflinger-class. The ship and class were named for Georg von Derfflinger, a field marshal who served Brandenburg-Prussia during the Thirty Tears' War.

• The Derfflinger is a special high-speed train built by the Reinford Group and used by Thors Military Academy's Second Branch.
