Sebe

Origin

Derived from Thebes, the Greek name for the city in ancient Egypt which served as the capital during many of the Middle and New Kingdom dynasties. The name is a Grecian rendering of the Egpytian name for the Karnak temple complex located within the city and shares its name with a city in Greece itself.

Appearances

• The ruins of Sebe (セーベ) are visited in Ys V; the city was destroyed by Kefin in a war hundreds of years prior to the events of the game.

• The original Egyptian name for the city of Thebes was Waset.
