Appears In: Kaze no Densetsu Xanadu, Zero no Kiseki, Ao no Kiseki, Sen no Kiseki Series

Origin

Zephyr is an English contraction of the Latin word Zephyrus, derived from the Ancient Greek word Zephuros which means 'West Wind'. It is one of the four Anemoi, minor wind gods associated with the cardinal directions.

Appearances

  • The personifications of the four winds appear in Kaze no Densetsu Xanadu including the West Wind.
  • The jaeger group Zephyr 西風の旅団ゼファー is first mentioned in Zero no Kiseki as one of the strongest groups in Zemuria and again in Ao no Kiseki where the rivalry and ultimate fate of the leaders of Zephyr and Red Constellation are revealed. The organization takes a more prominent role in the Sen no Kiseki games where more members appear, including Fie Claussell.
  • Zephyr (ゼファー) is a Time-elemental Master Quartz in Sen no Kiseki III-IV. The name also appears in the same games as Fie's Brave Orders Zephyr Wing and Zephyr Tempest (ゼファーウィング/ゼファーテンペスト).

Trivia

  • The Japanese name for the Kiseki series jaeger group literally means 'Brigade of the West Wind'.
