Origin

Draculea is the Romanian rendering of Dracula, a patronymic meaning 'Son of the Dragon'. The name has its origin in Vlad III of Wallachia, whose father was inducted into the Order of the Dragon and took his name from it. Vlad gave his own name and some of his reputation to the title character of Bram Stoker's horror novel Dracula.
