Origin

In Greek mythology, the Gorgons were a trio of winged women with snakes for hair who could turn those who looked at them to stone.

Appearances

  • In Sora no Kiseki The 3rd, Kevin learns Gorgon Arrow (ゴルゴンアロー) which inflicts Petrify on all targets that aren't immune to it.
  • Also in The 3rd is Scherazard's whip Gorgon Dread (ゴルゴンドレッド); the second half of its name is short for the dreadlock hairstyle. The weapon was localized by XSEED as Gorgon's Treasure.
  • In Zero and Ao no Kiseki, Gorgon Breath (ゴルゴンブレス) is an Earth-elemental offensive Art that has a chance to Petrify targets.
  • In Sen no Kiseki II, Gorgon Pasta (ゴルゴンパスタ) is an offensive recipe that has a chance to inflict Petrify.
  • Gorgons (ごるごん) are an enemy type appearing in Hyppolita Hill in Zwei.
  • The Gorgon Glove (ゴルゴングラブ) is an accessory in Ys IX which protects against Petrification.
  • In Hajimari no Kiseki, the Gorgon Rod (ゴルゴンロッド) is a shared staff-type weapon with a high chance of inflicting Petrify.
