Origin

The various units within the Jaeger group Nidhoggr are all named after parts of the body in German, with larger units representing correspondingly larger parts.

- Linken Arm Regiment (リンケン・アルム連隊): Left Arm
- Rechten Arm Regiment (レヒツ・アルム連隊): Right Arm
- Magen Battalion (マーゲン大隊): Stomach
- Kleiner Finger Platoon (クライナー・フィンガー小隊): Little Finger
- Mund Platoon (ムント小隊): Mouth
- Nase Platoon (ナーゼ小隊): Nose
- Ohr Platoon (オーア小隊): Ear
- Zahn Platoon (ツァーン小隊): Tooth
- Zunge Platoon (ツンゲ小隊): Tongue
- Nagel Squad (ナーゲル分隊): Nail

Appearances

• The Nase Platoon is first mentioned in Sen no Kiseki II. Mund and Ohr Platoons are first mentioned in Sen no Kiseki III and Nagel Squad appears in Kuro no Kiseki. The remainder are mentioned in Akatsuki no Kiseki.

Trivia

• The proper German for Left and Right Arm would be Linker Arm and Rechter Arm respectively.
