Origin
Kaze Gozen in Japanese is a reference to Tomoe Gozen (巴御前), a female warrior from twelfth-century Japan famed for her bravery. She was married to Minamoto no Yoshinaka and served as one of his commanders during the Genpei War. Gozen itself is an honorific used to refer to the presence of a high-status individual, including a member of the imperial family.
Appearances
- Orie Vander is known by this title and is introduced in Sen no Kiseki III. Taking the honorific Gozen in conjunction with the character that precedes it yields the 'Lady Wind' translation.

- The connection between Orie and Tomoe (aside from a superficial similarity of names) is made explicit in the Sen no Kiseki III Official Visual Collection, where a caption reads 'Kurt's mother. Projects the image of someone who would stand beside her husband at the critical moment, naginata in hand. Tomoe Gozen.'.
